Pheasant Fields Farm - Silverdale
It's officially Fall so you have to go to a pumpkin patch, right?! Before Jackson, it seemed like such a 'basic' (yeah, I said it) check off box of Fall activities. Drink all the PSL, hit up a pumpkin patch, wear flannel & knee high boots, etc. & I did them! Except PSL - nasty. But now I have a legit excuse to be basic because who doesn't like to see nuggets surrounded by pumpkins!? NO ONE. & since there's so many different pumpkin patches & corn mazes in the Bremerton area, Matt & I have made the decision to go to as many as we can with Jackson. Given, the phenomenal ones are over an hour away but a pumpkin patch is a pumpkin patch. Also, this is us starting family traditions with our little fam bam!
Yesterday, we went to Pheasant Field Farms in Silverdale. This was actually the first patch we went to when we moved here almost 4 years ago. Got Rocko then came here the next day! We wanted to take a family picture in the same place again but as you can imagine, it's changed a little over the 3 years. Regardless, it was nice to go back.
It's a family run farm that's open 10-6pm Monday - Saturday & noon - 6pm on Sunday. Plenty of photo opportunities, plenty of pumpkins to choose from, animals & fresh, local jam (Matt got some jalapeño jam - for what, I couldn't tell you).
Because Jackson is a walking, exploring machine, I knew he'd have a great time exploring the pumpkins. So naturally, he had to faceplant on the stem of a pumpkin, nearly poke his eye & be cranky the rest of the way, just to balance things out LOL.
He wouldn't let us put him down without crying. We even busted out Netflix (thank goodness for predownloading movies) & played some Trolls in the background but he was done.
It's also nice to know we'll be going to more places so I'm not super bummed over him having a shit time & me not getting the great pictures I wanted.
