Just Add Yoga - All the Tastings
YOU GUYS! I know I say the last Just Add Yoga event is the best one I've been to but THIS one was the best! When they said 'all the tastings', they meant it. Would also like to say I failed on pictures this time because honestly, I was too busy having fun & drinking o_O
So first off, this was the final outdoors class so we were in the grass & sun - really feeling one with the surroundings & such. We had the option to be in the back where there was shade but Melanie & I went for sun because we can't not be in the sun if we have the opportunity. ROOKIE MISTAKE. It got so warm that I was all over the place. This was our fifth class (not including personal practice) so these movements weren't anything new to us. But for whatever reason, I kept falling out of them & my heart was racing! Maybe Emily's flow threw me for one or I completely underestimated the sun factor but halfway through, I wanted to Corpse pose the remainder of the class & get to the drinking!
Holy cow, they weren't kidding with All The Tastings being the title. There were 3 different locations to get tastings from - each one offering you at least 2 different beverages o_O First was Fish Brewing Co. where I tried a beer, a cider & wine. My Momma tolerance was definitely tested so I was grateful there was popcorn for us to snack on. Next was Silver Lake Wine Garden where we had a choice of 2 out of 3 Sangrias. I'd love to tell you which ones we tried but all I can say is we chose the red ones LOL. The outdoor seating was super cute though. Also took a picture with their random pink tractor in the front. Finally, I want to say the final stop was an extension of Silver Lake Winery but not Sangria, just wine & it was way too peppery for my taste.
Alright, so I'm not sure if Robb is there every day or if he was there for the Just Add Yoga event but LAWD he needs to be everywhere. This dude set up shop outside Fish Brewing with FRESH SOUTHERN BRISKET. He said it was slow cooked overnight & it practically fell apart in my mouth - perfection. Also had baked beans. Yall, it was so perfect, I went back for seconds & he was surprised I offered to pay for my 2nd plate haha (I thought that was standard?).
The biggest take away from this event for me was taking it as a legit Mom-Day. Because this location was a little further away than the last events, I knew I'd have to pump & dump - my boobs would NOT be able to go the additional hours. Better believe I brought our outlet converter so I could bring my electric pump & do my thing in Melanie's car (hand pumps just don't cut it anymore).
I'm super excited to announce that I'm also now officially part of the Just Add Yoga Team! Check out my bio HERE! Crazy to think I started attending these classes for fun just a few months ago because I love yoga & beer - that's it! To think this opportunity came about because of my blogging & personality is mind blowing!! My first event will be Oct 28 in Tacoma at 7 Seas Brewing!! I'm hosting, not teacher because I CANNOT lol. All I have to offer is my personality & sometimes speaking ability LOL. Meet us there!
Also we'll be at the Oktoberfest event in Queen Anne Beerhall Sept 23! Get your ticket & get you boozy yoga on!
